This Mossberg manufactured receiver is for the model 42M bolt action rimfire rifle and is in very good condition exhibiting a mixture of thinning original blue finish with a brownish gray patina with light wear. This is the only part on the model 42M rifle that is tracked as a firearm therefore it will need to be transferred through a dealer. Receivers do not qualify as a C&R based on BATFE's guide lines.  (file photo)
